Gighabit and Free Events

Gighabit does facilitate free events. And we are happy to do so! We do not charge any booking fee on free events, despite the booking fee falling under the £1 minimum as outlined on the ticket creation page. Free events do not use Stripe for payment processing (as there is no payment to process!) and instead simply allow people to claim up to 6 tickets per order, per event. We still offer our customer support services and some data metrics. 

We do not offer data and graphics for free events pertaining to age demographics, location demographics, and some other types of data that event organisers find valuable. This is because a good chunk of that information comes from Stripe, not from our platform, and since there is no payment process there is limited data collection. We have no short-term plans to pursue changes to the free ticketing model to improve data collection, though it is something we will consider moving forward.
