How do I scan tickets on the Gighabit Platform?

Scanning tickets using the Gighabit Platform is incredibly easy. Permission to scan for an event is determined by either A) being the event organiser who created the event, or B) being assigned permission to scan tickets for a specific event by an event organiser who has added you as a stakeholder. If either of the above is true for you, you are ready to go.

First, navigate to the organiser tab which can be found on the top right-hand corner of your screen, on the left-hand side of your username. Once you have clicked on Organise you will be taken to the current events dash. On the left-hand side of this dashboard is a vertical menu (on mobile you may need to click the three horizontal lines indicating a pop-up menu) that shows: Events, Insights, Settings, Scan Tickets, and Update KYC. Naturally, we are focussed on Scan Tickets.

The Scan Tickets function will be super simple for you to use. Clicking the Scan Ticket button will immediately prompt you to open your device's camera. All you need to do is point the camera at the QR code and the ticket will be read and validated (or rejected where applicable) in less than a second. To scan the next ticket all you need to do is click scan ticket, after you have scanned the ticket you will be asked whether you want to continue scanning tickets or click done and close the camera for now. If you are unable to use your device's camera, or for some reason, a user has lost their QR code, they will have a unique19 19-digit booking reference code that can be inputted in place of a ticket.

Hint: A ticket buyer can find their unique 19-digit booking reference in the body of the email that contains their PDF ticket. Or, they can find their booking reference by navigating to My Bookings, and finding the event they are currently trying to enter, the booking reference will be clearly displayed in the centre of the screen.
