Why can I only buy 6 tickets at a time?
The decision to limit the tickets per order to 6 was made to ensure that scalpers and touts cannot as easily buy up the entire supply of tickets and resell them on the illicit secondary market. Gighabit does not permit or facilitate resale. We have various processes in place to make predatory resale as difficult for scalpers and fraudsters as possible. As such, the limit of 6 tickets per order means that scalpers have their accounts constrained. This limit may change from time to time at the sole discretion of Gighabit and without prior notice to event organisers, ticket buyers, or any other entity.
It is possible to purchase another set of 6 tickets as a separate order, with very little downtime, so this should not interfere with the ticket-buying process should you require more than 6 tickets. There are plenty of other security measures in place that we feel comfortable with this process. However, you should note that the limit of 6 tickets is accompanied by a limit of 6 orders, making the maximum number of tickets available for purchase 36. An attempt to purchase any more tickets than this will result in a preventative measure being placed on your account and no more tickets will be able to be purchased (for that event). This applies to free and paid tickets.
